Our Story
Hello, we're Amber & Paul.
After nearly 30 years of marriage and recently becoming empty nesters, we found ourselves dreaming about what our next chapter would look like. That dream began with Seahorse Cove in Cape Coral, Florida. We originally purchased it as our future winter home and planned to rent it long-term until retirement. But after spending time there, we fell completely in love with the home, the waterfront setting, and the memories it created for our family. We simply couldn't imagine not being able to return until we retire.
Instead, we decided to share it with others as a vacation rental.
For years, we've enjoyed renovating and improving homes together, but creating a place where families could relax, reconnect, celebrate, and make lifelong memories was something entirely different. Seeing guests fall in love with Seahorse Cove the same way we did was incredibly rewarding—and that's when I discovered my passion for hosting.
That passion eventually led us to the Smoky Mountains, where we fell in love all over again with the beauty, peace, and magic of Tennessee. Today, every Pure Rest Vacations property is a place we personally chose, designed, and created to be a true escape.
What started as a retirement dream has become something much more meaningful: creating memorable escapes and sharing the places we love with others. It truly is a gift, and we're honored to be part of your family's story.
